:You could try taking your original file (I assume that you exported this from a SVG file or similar) and export it to another format, like PNG. You might also consider either to use a higher resolution or to resize the longitude and latitude markers, as they are currently not readable.
:Another thing about the map: first of all, good job, the map is quite awesome. I also noticed a smiley face in the southwest ocean. Considering that it appears on both the Mercator and polar projections, I assume that it is not a joke/easter egg that you inserted. If it is, please remove it, otherwise people might try to search for it... --[[User:Dgelessus|dgelessus]] ([[User talk:Dgelessus|talk]] · [[Special:Contributions/Dgelessus|logs]]) 09:01, 28 June 2013 (CDT)
:Hi Cameron, you would get more replies if you posted your question in the [http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com KSP forum]. They have a ''Gameplay Questions and Tutorials'' section. I don't have a space station myself (I might be older than your dad) so I'm not sure which is the best tip for beginners. :Hi, first of all welcome to the KSP wiki. But unfortunately this page isn't about helping with KSP instead about helping with the KSP wiki. But a few notes about your question: First of all bringing a spacestation into orbit is like anything else. You can do it like the Skylab by the NASA in one go, or like the MIR or ISS with multiple starts and then docking them together. And about that this wiki can help: [[Docking]] explains how to do that. But like the poster before me said: For questions on how to play KSP ask in the forum. (And rocket science can be hard, I guess the 8 year old also need a lot of practice) — [[User:XZise|xZise]] [[[User talk:XZise|talk]]] 03:08, 31 August 2013 (CDT)

in text something like this:

if reading:
ape aka monkey [primal]

but the link [[animal#ape]] works, and point on it ignoring ???aka monkey[primal]??? — Preceding [[w:Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[User:NWM|NWM]] ([[User talk:NWM|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/NWM|contribs]]) 15:55, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
:Hi, I'm not sure what you want to do so I have to guess: Do you want to link to a page (e.g. [[Kerbal Space Center]]) but showing another text (e.g. KSC)? This is possible with the pipe (“|”) char: <nowiki>[[Kerbal Space Center|KSC]]</nowiki>. It will link to the text left to the pipe and show the text to the right: [[Kerbal Space Center|KSC]]. Of course I know there is a redirect from [[KSC]] to [[Kerbal Space Center]], but this is simply an example of pages that work. Thanx Xzise - I meaned, that in names I want to give synonymes and the english word of the name of the sections. I try to make it more easy to use for that kind of user never met in (my case hungarian) word of "pályahajlás" but in the game meet english word of "inclination". I want to help to put it together by making the wiki a bit more synonyme and english-hungarian dictionary, but it undermines the linking system.
Thanx for the link, I think '''anchor'''ing will solve my dilemma of easy linking and informative section names. — Preceding [[w:Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[User:NWM|NWM]] ([[User talk:NWM|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/NWM|contribs]]) 15:50, 3 April 2014
::Hi, usually you only need the anchor template, when you are not linking to a section (which is basically ''==…=='') and you can use HTML directly: <span id="ANCHOR"></span>. You simply replace ''ANCHOR'' with your anchoring target. Now I got two examples here. When you want to link to the topography of Kerbin use [[Kerbin#Topography]]. There is no need for an manual anchor. On [[Terminology]] we are already using anchors so that [[Terminology#ap]] does get you to the apsis explanation. You need to look into the page's code to see the spans there. Of course you can use the pipe to hide the link target: [[Kerbin#Topography|Kerbin's topography]] — [[User:XZise|xZise]] [[[User talk:XZise|talk]]] 13:01, 3 April 2014 (CDT)
::Getting effective heights of parts with upper and lower nodes is easy enough (They can be read out of the part.cfg files). For other parts, it would probably require some modeling expertise. On a related note, how is 0.23.5 getting those effective diameters in the VAB/SPH popup menus? [[User:UmbralRaptor|UmbralRaptor]] ([[User talk:UmbralRaptor|talk]]) 20:03, 10 April 2014 (CDT)
:::About what popup menus are you talking? And it is easy to get the height of a part, this can be added. Especially when we are using modules adding a parameter is not so cumbersome. It can be treated optional so it won't break old infoboxes. — [[User:XZise|xZise]] [[[User talk:XZise|talk]]] 10:04, 12 April 2014 (CDT)
:::Okay I've added a {{{height}}} parameter to {{Tl|Infobox/Part}}. Please note, that some templates (e.g. {{Tl|Infobox/Part/CommandModule}}) don't support this and most likely won't support it, because they are getting obsolete. == Is it possible to edit the navbar? ==

I'm starting to translate some pages to my home language(Portuguese), and I would like to also translate the links and titles of the lateral navbar,

<<< This one.

Is it possible? Where or how? [[User:Eitz|Eitz]] ([[User talk:Eitz|talk]]) 18:05, 25 April 2014 (CDT)
:Short answer: No. Medium answer: It's complicated and can only be done by sysops. Long answer: All non standard entries (''How to Help'', ''Main Site'', ''Sections'' (header), ''Tutorials'', ''Controls'', ''Stock Parts'', ''Locations'', ''Celestial Bodies'', ''Languages'' (header), ''Data templates'' (header)) need each one page in each language. For example I created some time ago [[MediaWiki:Celestial Bodies/de]]. So when you set the language to German, ''Celestial Bodies'' will be translated into German. But only sysops needs to do this. And the user has to set the language in their preferences and not via some ''/pt'' magic. Another answer: You can't do it, but you can provide the translations (e.g. [[User:Eitz/Navbar translation]]) and maybe a sysop will integrate this.
:If you are lucky and [[User:BobBot|my bot]] can also edit/create pages in the ''MediaWiki'' namespace, I could write a script which does this. — [[User:XZise|xZise]] [[[User talk:XZise|talk]]] 04:02, 26 April 2014 (CDT)
== Can I Create A Page? ==

Hi,
I just joined the wiki today and I can think of a few good pages that should be added. If it is possible can somebody give me the link to the area of the site where you can create a page. Thank You!
LyrikTechhttps://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?title=Space_station&diff=38510Space station2014-05-17T19:20:15Z
LyrikTech:

A '''space station''' is a spacecraft which does not significantly change its orbit but rather acts as a permanent space presence, often to provide services to other vessels in the course of their missions. A small space station can be launched whole by a single rocket, but larger ones can be constructed in stages by [[docking]] multiple sections together; such stations can be much larger than what any single rocket could feasibly launch.

== Uses ==
Space stations are often used as refueling depots. For example, if a station is placed in [[Mun]] orbit, a lander can dock to the station and take some [[liquid fuel|fuel]] or [[monopropellant]] to refill its own tanks for landing and return. A dedicated station's fuel capacity can be far greater than that of any single ship, and holding large amounts of fuel already in orbit can greatly influence the design and operation of subsequent [[craft]].

It is also possible to house [[Kerbal]]s on a space station. The [[PPD-10 Hitchhiker Storage Container]] is especially useful for this purpose, as it can hold four Kerbals and its ladders are arranged to stack on top of each other. The [[PPD-12 Cupola Module]] is meant to be incorporated into space stations, both because it is unsuitable for most other mission profiles and because it deliberately resembles an iconic component of the [[w:International Space Station|International Space Station]]. As of {{Check version|0.23}}, [[kerbonaut]]s do not require any consumable resources and may be left in space indefinitely.

Space stations can also be used for scientific measuring using the various sensors. By placing a station on an eccentric orbit, measurements at different altitudes can be taken. However, it can be more efficient to perform these tasks with smaller and more maneuverable satellites. As of the {{version|0.23}} update, one can also use the [[Mobile Processing Lab MPL-LG-2]] on a space station to increase efficiency for research and clean the [[Mystery Goo™ Containment Unit]] and [[SC-9001 Science Jr.]].

== Design and construction ==

A simple space station may be launched as a single unit, and will differ from other [[craft]] only in minor ways. The most significant of these is a lack of propulsion. While stations may possess [[reaction wheel]]s or [[RCS]] for basic mobility, they typically lack [[rocket engine]]s. Other than that, a station may possess [[electricity|electrical]] systems, one or more [[command module]]s, [[environmental sensor]]s, [[electric light]]s, or any other structure.

In order for a station to act as a fuel depot, it must be equipped with clamps for [[docking]]. A station will often have several clamps of different sizes on it, to accommodate multiple visiting craft or craft of different designs. Generous space should be allowed around the clamp for visitors to maneuver without colliding with other parts of the station.

An incrementally constructed space station has no practical limit to its size; it may contain as many components as the designer cares to launch. The only cap on extremely large stations is the number of parts they contain, as eventually the user's computer will be unable to simulate the station's physics in real time. Hitting this limit can be staved off by careful choice of the contents of each station module. Module complexity can be decreased by leaving out normally essential systems such as batteries and RCS; when docked to the station they will be able to take advantage of these capabilities in other modules. In order to transport such a module from the [[launch pad]] to the station, docking ports or [[decoupler]]s can be used to mount nonessential systems. They can be removed once the station is assembled, or even beforehand, and the module pushed into place with [[tug]]s.

== Problems ==

One of the problems with building a space station is the major problem of lag. Any ships with part counts of more than 250 will begin to lag violently, making any space station of a size that is usable completely impractical because of the lag. This lag problem exists because each part in a ship have its own physics attached to it. Normally this isn't problem, but when there are hundreds of parts it becomes really annoying. And although there are rockets with such high part count, those lose parts after every stage and thus reducing the part count. Usually the payload brought into orbit has then only a fraction of the original part count.

==Modules==

Most space stations include more than one module. A complete space station usually has: A science module, a crew module, a communications module, a electricity module (a module that has batteries and solar arrays, generators, etc. ). A space Station that has all of these modules or maybe even more will be a great asset in creating a successful space program in KSP.
