The Aerodynamic Nose Cone is a cap that fits to the front of an aircraft or rocket to decrease drag.
Contents
Usage
This nosecone has a lower drag coefficient than most parts, potentially making rockets more stable. With KSP's new drag model, nosecones improve the drag of a rocket stack. For example, launching a lone RT-10 rocket booster with and without a nose cone results in a respective max altitude of 10500 m and 8100 m, demonstrating a significant improvement with the nose cone.

Variants
As of version 1.6 this nose cone has three textures that can be switched in the editor.
Changes
- New model and texture
- Added 3 variants
- Improves stability of craft while in atmosphere
- Mass reduced (0.3 -> 0.03), description expanded
- Gained physical significance
- Initial Release
