A Kerbol eclipse happens when the star Kerbol comes inline with the Mun hiding from Kerbin
Kerbol eclipses on other celestial bodies
It is theoretically possible to observe a Kerbol eclipse on other celestial bodies provided they have a moon or the body is a moon itself.
Kerbol eclipses on Duna
Since Duna's moon Ike is in a near synchronous orbit a Kerbol eclipse happens every day.
