The Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage is a Mk2 fuselage containing liquid fuel and oxidizer mixture.
It is twice the length and carries twice the fuel as the Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage Short. The similar Mk2 Liquid Fuel Fuselage carries the same amount of propellant, but in liquid fuel only. It is the same length and has the same fuel capacity as the FL-T800 Fuel Tank.

Usage
The Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage is a rocket fuel tank containing liquid fuel and oxidizer. It can be used to power liquid fuel rocket engines, like the LV-909 "Terrier" Liquid Fuel Engine. Due to its shape, it fits well on aircraft, and serves as an attachment point for wings, fins, and landing gear. It can be placed both in-line and radially mounted.
When full, one tank can power a single LV-909 "Terrier" Liquid Fuel Engine for up to 225.6 seconds at full thrust, or a single closed-cycle CR-7 R.A.P.I.E.R Engine for up to 66.5 seconds at full thrust.
Like all Mk2 parts, it is slightly taller than a 1.25m, Mk1 part, while having about the same width as a 2.5m part. This wide shape allows it to act as a lifting surface, like a wing. However, it only carries the same volume of propellant as an equally long Mk1 part; the model shows that the inside is actually a Mk1 tank surrounded by the Mk2 shell. The dry mass of the Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage is 14% higher than a FL-T800 Fuel Tank, which contains the same amount of fuel.
Additionally, like all Mk2 parts, the Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage has a higher heat tolerance of 2500K to assist in spaceplane reentry.
A pair of adjacent Mk2 parts rotated so that their flat faces are tangent make a smooth fuselage for larger aircraft.
Trivia
- The Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage originated in the Spaceplane Plus mod, which was integrated into KSP 0.25.
- Oddly, a Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage is slightly lighter than two Mk2 Rocket Fuel Fuselage Short parts, despite having the same fuel capacity and size.
