The Avionics package is a toggleable module that provides SAS functionality, a sort of Autopilot to stabilize and help keep an aircraft on course.
Description
“ | The latest in research and developement enabled the developement of this little marvel. The Sensor Array Computing Nose Cone, it is outfitted with many "quality" sensors and a computer salvaged from the highest quality aircraft scrap. — C7 Aerospace |
” |
Usage
This part functions identically to the Advanced S.A.S. Module, and the only physical difference is that the ASAS module can mount other parts on either end, whereas the avionics package is crammed inside a little nosecone.
The Avionics package has a different tuning from the SAS and ASAS modules, making it better suited for aircraft. In particular, the lack of an integral term makes it closer to a "kill-rot" than a heading lock.
