The TR-XL Stack Separator is a Separator that allows for staging rockets vertically and in sequence. It's the biggest separator available; the Jumbo(2.5m) version of TR-18D Stack Separator
Contents
Use
The TR-XL adds a stage to the rocket and when activated will release the separator as well as anything attached to it, much like the TR-2C. Unlike normal decouplers, separators come free from both sides.
Most separators weigh slightly more than the similarly sized decouplers. The TR-XL is unique in this regard, weighing slightly less than the Rockomax decoupler. It also has the advantage of ejection force. The only downside is the price, more than four times more costly.
