Advanced S.A.S Module, Large/Box

The Advanced S.A.S Module, Large is a toggleable module that provides torque and SAS functionality, a sort of autopilot to stabilize and help keep a rocket on course. Since virtually every command pod in the game already provides SAS, the torque is what will interest most players. Extra torque means that the player's spaceship will rotate faster when ordered to, resulting in a more nimble feel to the craft. The Advanced S.A.S Module, Large is the size 2 reaction wheel. It is expensive, relatively heavy, and provides a very large amount of torque compared to the other reaction wheels.

Description

After many years of research, STEADLER Corps rocket scientists discovered that Kerbal crewmembers just can't be trusted to keep a spacecraft under control. The Advanced S.A.S Module adresses that issue by correcting flight controls continuously. It is highly recommended that crewmembers are kept unaware of the presence of such a device, as experience shows that many Kerbals will see that as a 'challenge to their flying prowess'.

Before the SAS was redesigned and both ASAS module did the same thing the description said the following:

A larger-scale version of the original STEADLER ASAS module.
