The MK2 Crew Cabin is a crew container similar to the PPD-10 Hitchhiker Storage Container that can hold 4 Kerbals. It is Mk2 sized and is meant to be used in spaceplanes. It lacks command module functionality and requires another pod (other than the Hitchhiker Storage Container or the Mk3 Passenger Module) or probe core in order to be controlled. The Crew Cabin is very fragile, and is not likely to survive crashes, compared to the MK2 Cockpits. Like other MK2 profile parts, it acts as a lifting surface.
It was included in the Spaceplane Plus mod which was integrated into KSP 0.25.
Usage
- Transporting Kerbals to and from a space station
- Crew quarters for spaceplanes and space shuttles
- Holding rescued Kerbonauts
