(Forgive me if this isn't how you're supposed to use these Talk pages...I've never done this before lol.) I have a hard time believing that, in the history of this game (or more accurately, the Mystery Goo), I am the first player to bring awareness of the following intrigue to the wiki page. Last year I went digging through science experiment result messages, and to my great shock I discovered subtle (and not-so-subtle) implications as to the...nature...of the goo.

Given that the most significant of those come from testing the goo around Bop, Pol, and Eeloo, I assume that the only people (other than file-diggers like myself) who would ever come across these are players who are not only completionists, but are skilled enough to get to the outer celestial bodies, which may explain why this isn't already common knowledge.

I've looked around on the internet and it appears that I am the first person to ever find these AND figure out what the result messages are subtly telling us about the goo. I have an EXTRA hard time believing that I'm the first person to put this all together, but I can't find any evidence otherwise, so who knows. Last year I compiled all my notes, hypotheses, and speculations into one big Steam forum thread, which I will link below. I've come here with the attention of bringing this hidden storyline(?) to the good folks of the KSP wiki!

What I think

Yes, I think it can be related to the aborted storyline. Maybe the goo is in fact, something else from the "precursors"? Or is it a "precursor" itself? Scary.

The mystery goo was added in 0.22, so while Nova was still working on KSP IIRC (and therefore on the storyline).

Also the fact that the experiment has to be reset and cleaned - maybe... Maybe it tries to well, do stuff...

There's also a slim chance that all of these science reports were made for fun, and that the goo is not related to the storyline...

You should make a forum thread and copy the Steam thread there - or just include it here :)
