An craft re-entering the atmosphere, it is at a safe altitude to not be affected.

The Eve Effect is a phenomenon that affects craft entering the atmosphere of Eve too steeply. This is caused by the craft entering the atmosphere too fast for drag. This causes the craft to now slow down enough before inevitablely crashing or melting. This is most common on Eve since it has a small atmosphere height but big atmosphere pressure, this does happen on Jool also, It can actually happen on every celestial body at high enough speeds.

Avoid the Eve Effect

You can avoid the Eve Effect by aerobraking at about 50km, Repeat this gradually to enter the atmosphere at a safe speed.
