Welcome to the Kerbal Space Program Wiki! If you want to help out, you can just start editing right away. If you need help, please refer to the mediawiki help or ask questions at the Helpdesk.

What can I do to help?

  • All you need to do is create an account (wiki account is separate to any other account) and then start editing! If you are not familiar with the wiki-syntax, don't be afraid, we'll help you and add mark up as needed.
  • We aren't covering all topics relevant for KSP yet. Some pages we need may be found with Special:WantedPages
  • Improve short articles. You can find them with the special page ShortPages or Category:Stubs.
  • Add screenshots. Pictures can make an article more interesting, but don't overdo it. You'll need to register before you may upload files, Category:Pages with a to do list will also help to find those articles which really need some attention.
  • Help us to combat spam. You might wish to use some of the templates found in this spam-fighting tutorial: Kerbal Space Program Wiki:Fighting spam.
  • If you are not sure what page to try to improve, use the Random Page link on the left hand menu, try to find something that could be imrpvoed on that page.
  • Don't forget about the 'Discussion' pages, you can use them to suggest things that could be improved
  • Link the pages together. As you read an article, if you see a KSP term that is not link to something that should be article, add the link. Don't worry if the page does not exist yet, it will help promote it with the wanted pages.

Stuff to do for experienced users

  • Keep an eye on the RecentChanges and revert bad changes and spam.
  • Wikify articles, i.e. add links, wiki markup, clean up layout etc.
  • Be nice to our new users :)
  • Use SpecialPages to find broken things, and then fix them. For example, with Special:BrokenRedirects, you can find redirects that lead to nothing.
  • Update pages with the Template:outdated template in use.
  • Watch the Helpdesk and answer the questions if you can.

To-Do-List for admins

For some of this, you need special rights.
