Liquid fuel, is one of six types of resource used to power an engine, used either in conjunction with oxidizer or intake air depending on the engine type. It is stored in liquid fuel tanks or fuselages.

Container Types

Liquid fuel tanks contain both liquid fuel and oxidizer while fuselages contain only liquid fuel. The correct ratio is 9 parts liquid fuel and 11 parts oxidizer which all but the Oscar-B Fuel Tank store in this ratio.

Flow and Transfer

Liquid fuel's flow mode is adjacent. With the use of an FTX-2 External Fuel Duct nonadjacent tanks can be linked. Even without a fuel duct it is still possible to transfer fuel between them manually.

Associated engines

Jet engines need both liquid fuel and intake air to run. Liquid fuelled rocket engines run on a mixture of liquid fuel and oxidizer.
