Mit is the unit which represents the size of a scientific report. It determines the cost required for the laboratories and antennae. Each scientific report has a scientific value, which is the maximum amount of science gathered by the report, and a data scale. The data scale determines how large one scientific point is in terms of Mits. The size of a report does not depend on the results of previous reports.

All antenna transmit their data in packets. The size of one packet can differ between antennae but all stock antenna use two Mit per packet.

Trivia

The name "Mit" is suggestive of the word "bit", the basic unit of digital information storage (and a portmanteau of binary digit), and MIT, the abbreviation and nickname of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a highly-regarded research university.
