Moho is the innermost planet of the Kerbol star system. It is the smallest planet, although it is not the smallest celestial body. It is the planet known to be tidally locked to Kerbol.

Due to its close proximity to Kerbol the thin atmosphere's temperature is debilitatingly high; rockets overheat easily and landing requires a high thrust-to-weight ratio and/or heat-resistant rocket designs.

Topography

The surface is very mountainous, with surprisingly few craters. The crust almost looks fractured. Up close it is much redder than in the map view and has many white dots.

Topographical image of Moho.

Atmosphere

Moho has a very thin, very hot atmosphere that poses a heat threat to most or all rocket motors. It extends to ~28 km altitude.

Natural Satellites

Moho has no natural satellites.

Orbital Statistics

The geosynchronous orbit of Moho is at an altitude of 30 992.300 km above Moho. The speed of the satellite is 88.593 m/s and it has an orbital periode resonating with 1 Moho day (615.49 hours or 2 215 764 seconds.) For a semisynchronous orbit of ½ Moho day (307.75 hours or 1 107 882 seconds) an orbit of 19 431.416 km above Moho is needed with a velocity of 111.62 m/s.
