The Mystery Goo™ Containment Unit is a science part used to expose a special compound, or "goo", to both atmosphere and vacuum, in an attempt to gain science. In Career and Science mode, it is available through Start, as the first tier of the technology tree.

Usage

The unit is activated either via action group or a prompt by right, then left clicking on the module. "Observe Mystery Goo" must be selected, if used manually. This cannister cannot be reused after its results are transmitted, unless it is reset and cleaned by a Mobile Processing Lab MPL-LG-2 or a Kerbal Scientist on EVA.

Much like the other devices in the Science tree, the science gained from observing the Mystery Goo™ varies depending on different conditions in flight.

Product description

This unit was something one of our engineers came upon while dumpster divin-- Erm, while researching alternative applications for existing technologies. It's a sealed container which appears to be filled with a strange-looking substance. We couldn't reach in or break the canister open, but watching how the Goo behaves when subjected to different situations could be very educational.
