Usage
This part is used for the tail of a plane usually. It adds to the craft's mass and thus drag but less so than a fuel tank, making it a good place for tail fins and winglets on planes designed without a centerline engine, such as on the wings.
Some use it for connecting 1.25m diameter engines (such as the LV-T30 Liquid Fuel Engine) radially on a fuel tank when the attachment node is rotated to face downwards, where engines are placed.
