The 2 remaining pages should be merged for sure. I've been thinking about all yesterday. My main point was, for each addon, to tell why it is really useful to the game.

The choice of which addon servers to be in the list is totally subjective of course. But the download counter of each speaks for themselves. The lenght of the threads in the forum does the same. Majors addons are those which meets success, that's all.

Merging?

Hi, shouldn't this be merged? There are currently about three different pages listing mods:

Especially the first three are more or less duplicates, which will maintaining it problematic. Also the definitions of the first two are to fuzzy:

  • What is a useful mod?
  • The sorted mods library can't be complete. So there is some fuzzy definition that the mod needs to be "important" (which can't be quantified).

My suggestion (if we allow such lists) would be to have them in a table and mark on each, if they are career mode compatible and if they enhance the reality. Also there was a list in addon which were removed and I have to agree with the reasoning behind the deletion.

By the way there is also calculation tools, although I'm unsure if that need to be integrated. But by the amount of tools only about calculations this list/these lists here will be loooong.

Apart from that, the article should be named (imho) "List of .... mods" with the capitalisation removed. — xZise [talk] 13:51, 29 May 2014 (CDT)

I think the merging is definitely needed, as well as placing all the info in a table.
The choice of mods should probably stay more or less what it is now - most popular and polished mods. The list is going to be subjective, of course. But there is no other way, unless we want the mod devs themselves to put here every single one.
Imo the calculation tools should stay as separate, they're not mods after all. And as you mentioned, they are plentiful themselves. — 8MMW (talk) 15:12, 29 May 2014 (CDT)
My problem is simply, that somebody adds a mod of which (s)he thinks it deserves to be there and somebody else then removes it. And because there is no real criteria this can't be settled without somebody receding. — xZise [talk] 08:26, 31 May 2014 (CDT)

Yes Merging

Thanks for having a look to my little work. The sorted list was my first page, and it needs to be removed. I don't know how to do it.... I removed the link.

The 2 remaining pages could be merged for sure. I've been thinking about it all yesterday. My firt point was, for each addon, to tell why it is really useful to the game. How it brings important features.

The Career mode compatible list was important for me because I think that the new career mode brings a lot of challenges to players. Mods that are well integrated into the tech tree (with progressives features) deserves a special attention in this list.

The choice of which addon servers to be in the list is totally subjective of course. But the download counter of each speaks for themselves. The lenght of the threads in the forum does the same. Majors addons are those which meets success, that's all. A majors Addon page was from my point of vue missing in this wiki. i've been looking for it when I first discovered Kerbal. Even if it is quite difficult to maintains like the calculation tools.

So I'll merge the 2 list this week end in a big table. Marking those which are integrated into the tech tree with an icon. Cfloutier 30/05/2014
