How Hard Can It be

This article is a list of tutorials that will guide you through the finer points of the Kerbal Space Program.

Please note that these articles are user-created, and each user is responsible for their tutorial.


For a high-level overview of the basic game mechanics, you can read this Game Manual by thecoshman.

A less detailed "cheat sheet" type reference is available as Basic Maneuvers.

Currently Campaign Mode has yet to be developed. Until then, the KSP player community offers the following campaign mission manifest to players looking to follow a near historical list of mission goals and milestone progression in the current sandbox:

  1. Age of Rocketry (Solid fuel rockets and ballistic missles)
  2. Space Race (First satellite, first man in space, first manned orbit)
  3. Age of Satellites (ComSat, SpySat, GeoSat, PolarSat)
  4. The Kerbinai Program (First rendezvous and docking, first station)
  5. Probes and Rovers (Mun probe, orbiter, and rover)
  6. The Mun Race (First manned Mun orbit and return, first landing and return)
  7. Kerbol System Exploration (probes to Minmus, Duna, and Eve, and multiplanetary probes)
  8. Age of Expansion (Larger stations and a Mun base with satellite relay network)
  9. Duna or Bust (Probes, rovers, and the first manned missions to Duna)
  10. Joolileo (Probe to explore the Jool system)
  11. Sample Return Missions (Land and return robotic landers from Eve, a Joolian moon, and Eeloo)
  12. Civilian Spaceflight (Spaceplanes to Space, Boat launch, and Building a KerbX Space Center)
  13. The Spacers (Manned planetary explorations, stations and bases)

Historical Missions

The high level of realism in Kerbal Space Program allows to recreate historical missions of human spaceflight history. These missions start simple and become gradually more complex, so they are a great way to learn KSP.
