Undid change

Hi, why did you undo this change in {{Infobox/Body}}? I'm just curious, because it looks to me fine but maybe I can help. — xZise [talk] 09:25, 31 March 2014 (CDT)

Thanx for your offer! It had Simply collapsed the infobox. I'd not found the fault (generated reference fault as I'd checked in a planet's page - and I swear, I did not messed anything around the references!), so I'have recreated it. NWM

Okay a reference error… Does the error still appear? — xZise [talk] 10:03, 31 March 2014 (CDT)
Error has disappeared - just checked

Move FL-A5 Adapter image

Hi, you requested to remove File:FL-5A Adapter.png. Am I correct in the assumption that it is simply File:FL-A5 Adapter.png without background? If so you could update the image correctly named. I could also move the file that the file name does make sense as I prefer part images without backgrounds. For example moving File:FL-A5 Adapter.png to File:FL-A5 Adapter with background.png (or something like that) and then File:FL-5A Adapter.png to File:FL-A5 Adapter.png (this way no file names would need to be changed). — xZise [talk] 14:33, 26 June 2014 (CDT)

I've made that picture, because I had not noticed the existence of the original one, and the during the uploading I was not warned due to that misspelling. Its resolution equal with the current, and has white background (I'm not expert in GIMP). And I've already uploaded a better new one. NWM
Okay, I removed the incorrectly named file. — xZise [talk] 05:03, 27 June 2014 (CDT)

Uploading images

Hi NWM, you uploaded the wrong version of File:Illuminator Mk1.png after you already fixed it. And you uploaded File:Illuminator Mk2.png twice. Simply reload without cache to see the new image to verify it worked. Also File:Z-100.png has the green border. — xZise [talk] 13:58, 30 June 2014 (CDT) - I assure you, that "wrong" version has no green border - apart from the glass it must be totally grey(I'he just GIMP-ed it), I've just recolored the glass. - I'm on correcting the Z100.

Notification about the decimal separator

Hi, I noticed you updated some tables with {{DS}}. While they are currently fine, you have to be careful in templates like your edit here. For example the {{Infobox/Part}} automatically calculates the dry costs and wet mass (if the resources are given) like in Command Pod Mk1. This might not work if {{DS}} is present, because {{#expr:}} (which is used to calculate the other values) does not support commas as decimal separator. So it works on English pages it won't in languages using the comma.

The solution would be to use {{Formatnum}} in the template itself. — xZise [talk] 08:31, 21 July 2014 (CDT)

Okay I edited it for the mass and costs of the part infobox. You could use that as a template for other places. The disadvantage is that this now generates a fixed amount of decimal places. — xZise [talk] 08:41, 21 July 2014 (CDT)
Thanks. I've not tested that change - I'd to leave the computer... I hope introducing the "cost" column does not disturb anything. And a question: is there a brief info about how wings work in KSP? /maybe I'll write that article (at least, in this case, those "correctors" will have a reasonable work).
Where did you introduce the cost column? I also don't think that there is an explanation on how wings work on this wiki. Actually wing itself doesn't even exist, so if you can find information about that feel free to share it. — xZise [talk] 15:40, 21 July 2014 (CDT)
I've introduced the cost in the table of RCS fuel tanks. And there is no cost info in some other table too. And I want to write that wing - it is simply more important, then xxx Kerman's biography.NWM (talk) 15:54, 21 July 2014 (CDT)
Oh yeah that cost thing looked nice. Especially because it's on two rows you save space, because it's about that height anyway because of the image. Problem is of course sorting. I haven't checked it, but it is possible that the sorting order is different for wet mass than for dry mass. And this also applies to dry/wet cost. — xZise [talk] 20:41, 21 July 2014 (CDT)

Other translation of drag in the header

Hi, I have no idea of the Hungarian language, but you added a separate translation for drag there, but {{Stats Table Header/Drag}} already contains a translation. I guess the difference is that it says it's the stowed drag? — xZise [talk] 04:10, 2 October 2014 (CDT)

It is more simple: for the narrow cells i've separated the word "légellenállás" into two lined:
légellen-
állás
it looked quite a stupid in that wide cell. Ok, next time I let there a long explanation... NWM (talk) 12:02, 2 October 2014 (CDT)
I haven't tested it but does something similar (but I'm not sure if the browser would use that to make a cell narrower). — xZise [talk] 08:22, 12 October 2014 (CDT)
Worth to know, but that "" works when there are not enough place, mainly gives an opportunity to brake in the middle of the word... luftwiderstand (if it is correct). I wanted an always narrower cell... — Preceding unsigned comment added by NWM (talkcontribs) 13:55, 12 October 2014‎ (UTC)
Oh okay yeah is then not an really option (although you could argue as long as the table doesn't “overflow” it doesn't need to get narrower). — xZise [talk] 06:56, 13 October 2014 (CDT)

Thank you for your uploads

General information about a part type

Hi you added general information about a part type (solar panels in this case) to one solar panel part: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/w/index.php?title=SP-W_2x3_Photovoltaic_Panels&curid=1728&diff=52398&oldid=42586&rcid=65861 Something like this should be written to solar panel as it applies to all parts (except one). So you don't need to copy and paste the text and if one error is found you don't need to fix all. — xZise [talk] 16:32, 1 November 2014 (CDT)

Do you mean I should modernize the "electric charge"? NWM (talk) 01:44, 2 November 2014 (CDT)
For example. Or create a separate article if you think there is enough material for one. The solar panels could also link to [[Solar panel#Behavior]] or something like this. — xZise [talk] 07:51, 2 November 2014 (CST)

Fuel flow rate

I'm not sure if we should sue the fuel flow rate icon, especially if you look into those two changes:

Unless it wasn't 1 L/t, there is now at least an inconsistency because in the first one it's displaying the mass flow and the second one is displaying a volume flow. If the mass flow given it should use (afaik) the unit mass/time and not your icon as we have a unit for mass. I think we should only use the jerrycan if it's describing a volume but even then I think unit or something similar is better (we should also create a page talking about this issue) as this is something you could work with in mathematics (as you know what you've got). The jerrycan could be anything and it doesn't really work as a unit, as there is no difference in one liter LH2 or RP-1, both would fill a cube on 1 dm side length. This is just my two cents. — xZise [talk] 07:50, 2 November 2014 (CST) At the first case you have absolutely right - it is mass flow, and not fuel flow. ≈t - means tonnes (but what is that "≈" for?) -I should be more careful... As I've declared the jerrycan symbols one unit (as the game counts it - not a kind of unit of measure - and definitely is not equal with the liter) of fuel, as "$" symbols one dollars -just not official, only locally in the wiki. The mark|fuelflow -is only constrain-solution as the default jerrycan cannot be linked, and so [w:fuel flow|(fuel unit)/s] cannot be solved in other way. The fundmark, atom, star, lightning, jerrycan, baloon, sprayer only symbolizes a kind of unit, avoidance of such stupidity like "the density of the air is 5000kg/m³... (unit is unit and it is liter, or what?), shortening the writing of unit s(h)ort without misunderstanding abbreviations (sometimes "e" was used for the unit of electric charge - the point it is an official unit of electric charge, but it means electric charge of a single electron!)

Monopropellant and RCS

Hi, I noticed you changed probably monopropellant to RCS. I'm not a Squad official or such but I think monopropellant is the fuel type (like liquid fuel) and RCS is a system (like SAS). With the introduction of the O-10 MonoPropellant Engine I try to follow that rule because the engine is not related to the RCS but is using monopropellant. So you can leave it as it is (I guess the word was to long otherwise), I just wanted to inform you. — xZise [talk] 07:24, 10 November 2014 (CST)

I know, but in the wiki the "monopropellant fuel" and the "RCS fuel" are lame synonyms (RCS fuel tanks). The hungarian "egykomponensű"(=contains one component) hajtóanyag (=fuel ~ substance makes something work) is too long for the partbox, and cannot be shorted to "egykomponensű" because it doesn't means alone a kind of fuel as "mono-propellant", so I've shortened as "RCS hajtóanyag" - (substance makes RCS work).

Template name

Hi NWM, why did you named the template {{Dict/sci node}}? Especially the 4t is confusing (the rest more or less make sense). Maybe we can find a better name (I might be able to rename all usages relatively easily, I'll try it later with another script. — xZise [talk] 09:35, 26 November 2014 (CST)

Hi XZise! "4t" = "for tables" - abbreviation. Simply, "for tables" would be long...
But it isn't made only for tables. In theory the part infobox could use it too. — xZise [talk] 19:39, 27 November 2014 (CST)
I've made it for that table. For general use I would make a more "elastic" template with optional switches and def.flags of options of forms (breaked?, english appears? ...), but I am not good in these multi-parametric things...
Maybe some kind of dict template like this for the experiments and parts would be also useful...
And of course you can rename it, if you wish.NWM (talk) 03:25, 28 November 2014 (CST)
I opted for {{Dict/sci node}} so it's clear that "sc" means "science" and then to have a similar style like {{Infobox/Part}}. I also updated all references (using BobBot this is getting relatively easy). — xZise [talk] 04:44, 3 December 2014 (CST)
Yea, but is not shorter, and with the space it is more difficult to learn, and it is not brother in form with {{DictPart}} I've started to fill up (now just only the {{Engine alternators}} use it). And a question: Why have you deleted the "antenna range" rumor from the "Questionable" section of the Planed features. I've created the "Questionable" sections for the rumor-level and tourette-syndromed features?...NWM (talk) 02:28, 7 December 2014 (CST)
DictPart came after DictSciNode4t and I've been working on templates to follow the same rules: No CamelCase and instead like snake case but with spaces. And length does not matter that much on computers as you can easily copy and paste text especially.
About Antenna Range: Because just because he said he uses it to play with does mean __anything__. You can't take a word a dev say for granted unless it's implemented and except for that one sentence there has been no hint by anyone else. And the section where you added it, is just for the junk which hasn't been confirmed and the goal is to shorten that list not to add other 'speculation'. Readers quickly jump the gun and take anything it says for granted even if we plaster the screen with info that this is informal (at least if there is no recent source). I also mentioned it (shortened of course) in the summary: “There is no mention at all that this will be included in stock, not every mod a employee mentions will be added”. — xZise [talk] 07:09, 14 December 2014 (CST)
Okay sorry the section it's in shouldn't be shortened because I thought there were all the unsourced stuff. But even though the difference of those entries is that a employee talks officially about features of Kerbal Space Programm and not says he likes the Antenna Range mod. — xZise [talk] 07:13, 14 December 2014 (CST)

Switched images

Hi, is it possible that you switched the images of File:Mk3 Rocket Fuel Fuselage Short.png and File:Mk3 Rocket Fuel Fuselage.png? At least from the name and data the 'Short' part should be shorter than the normal one. If that is the case just let me know and I switch both images (you don't need to reupload anything or so). The articles seem to use the correct image by name and not appearance so I guess there don't need to be any fixes there. — xZise [talk] 06:21, 17 December 2014 (CST)

Well nevermind then. — xZise [talk] 14:48, 17 December 2014 (CST)
