Hi again! I'm trying to translate some templates on my free times and started that with Template:Stub. I hope nothing's wrong with that for you. Only if there is a page like Kerbol/tr all pages beginning with Kerbol (like Kerbol/de etc.) should the Turkish translation available. Chat Room Idea

Hi^^ XZise

I was thinking of making a chat room for this wiki but i need lots of help Kerbal Space Program Chat Room still not so sure if it going to work but worth a shot

Before you say anything like:

 • This wiki does not need a chat room.
 • It will not work

The chat room idea is a great way to get people to talk to each other instead of using other users talk link for non-important inquiries about KSP or just well, life get to know people and discuss bugs, fix, updates, mods, muddles, ideas and tips etc. - Nova Storm (Talk)

So, er, what would it add that the IRC channel does not? UmbralRaptor (talk) 22:53, 1 May 2013 (CDT)
Technically it would be asynchronous. If you have a question but the person who can answer it isn't online at the moment it is still possible to answer later while the person who ask the question can be already offline. But apart from that, I don't see an advantage. — xZise [talk] 03:29, 2 May 2013 (CDT)

Hello, and thank you for your message! I think I've got most of it figured out at the moment, but I'll let you know if I need anything. :)

Thanks very much for the Infobox/Body…

And for the Zh-cn or Zh-Hans stuff, RHZhao firstly started the Chinese Wiki as Zh-cn. I have held a discussion about whether to move it to Zh-Hans, and the result is most of the users prefer to keep it. So it's like this now.

And… A question, is there a grammar to modify the language name displayed on Languange Box? The default name isn't like those in Wikipedia…

All in all, thanks very much:)

Okay, so zh-cn and zh-hans are the same? This may be relevant for templates like lang. About your “Language Box”. Do you mean ? This uses Mp-lang to link to another language and uses the language code provided by . So there is not much to do, but when I'm on the English Main Page the Chinese link to their Main Page is written as 中文. Now the language box shows 中文(中国大陆)‎which looks for me (I don't have a clue about Chinese) identical, except for the part in the brackets. But this is simply because of the -cn
 • → 中文
 • → 中文(中国大陆)‎
So I don't know what you want to do there. And btw, would be nice if you ~~~~ sign your posts so I know who I'm talking to ;) — xZise [talk] 13:06, 14 May 2013 (CDT)
In fact not the same… The codes like Zh-cn, Zh-tw, Zh-hk etc. are Chinese languages classified by location; the Zh-Hans and Zh-Hant show the major difference branches: Simplified and Tranditional. The Simplified Chinese(Zh-Hans) is mostly being used in China Mainland, so Zh-Hans and Zh-cn can be partly regarded as the same, but not the whole. As the KSP Wiki in Zh-Hans has been set up as Zh-cn, it will be inconvenient to move.
While… I have an idea… If in future many branches of Chinese join in(as there're already players in Taiwan, Hongkong…), this way maybe good… Just tell me:
How to set a page as a redirect page? (Visitors get redirected to another page instantly, while this page still has the properties of ordinary pages) (Sorry that I haven't had much experience in Wiki)
Do ordinary users have the access to create a fully functional template? Thanks:) --Cesrate (talk) 07:22, 15 May 2013 (CDT)
Uhh... After some explorations, you know... I did it. Although I don't know whether will these come in use (depending on the "Wiki motiviation" of players in these places)...
Here is what I did...
Main_Page/zh
Template:Main_Page_Layout_for_zh
Template:Main_Page_Layout_for_zh/Language_Box_for_zh
Now the only thing is if lang doesn't support the zh-tw, zh-hk, zh-mo... , but it's not a big problem. The support could be added later when someone starts to translate the Wiki to zh-tw etc.
And... With the current business being done, I'll start working on translations (and maybe add some new things) in June... Don't know whether the others will do...
And, have a nice day:) --Cesrate (talk) 09:08, 15 May 2013 (CDT)
Wow be only 6 hrs away and thousand of new pages are now there ;) Okay maybe not thousands. I have some questions:
Now there already exists Mk1 Cockpit/zh. In what Chinese language is this now written? And how does the Chinese Wikipedia handle this? It looks like there is only a zh Wikipedia. Maybe (to make it not so crowded here) it is applicable to this wiki? — xZise [talk] 10:54, 15 May 2013 (CDT)
Just to make other languages' language box not crowd:) I think as the Language Box shows the major languages, it would be better for the branches to be shown in a sub-box. Although I should keep it sync to the Main_Page_Lay_Out... It's not difficult as well. Is there a better way to achieve this? As I don't know much about codes in Wiki, this method is what I could come up with…
As for the Mk1 Cockpit/zh, it's a translation test by a member here. It's of little use now and after I move it to zh-cn you're free to delete it.
As I have started it, I will maintain it, until it's proved really of no use… And it will be good if we can modify the language name shown in Language Box, is that possible?
And I hope the sub-language box could come into use… Depending on if there's an encyclopediaholic in that places:) --Cesrate (talk) 18:58, 15 May 2013 (CDT)
The Mk1Cockpit/zh is really of no use… It's just a test + stub… Free to delete… --Cesrate (talk) 19:03, 15 May 2013 (CDT)
Okay I moved (and not deleted) Mk1 Cockpit/zh-cn. User:N3X15 already deleted your “failed template” and I added zh-cn to the language box on the left. Did I use the correct text? And I'm looking to the two main page templates. Maybe there could be something simplified. — xZise [talk] 17:15, 17 May 2013 (CDT)

lang support for zh-cn?

Sorry to disturb, but lang seems not work with zh-cn. The example's here. Radial Size. If there's no mistake, the lang doesn't support zh-cn. Thanks very much for the supports Cesrate (talk) 07:30, 17 May 2013 (CDT)

Oh, thanks. The layout isn't a problem as I'm in charge of its maintenance unless it affects the wiki's efficiency or becomes useless(wiki builder RHZhao sometimes talks in Tranditional Chinese, so I believe zh-tw... page will come into being in future).

All in all, thanks very much for the support:) Very kind of you. —Cesrate (talk) 18:42, 17 May 2013 (CDT)
