Introduction

Several thousand years ago, the Kerbese invented solid fuel rockets for their firework displays. Later, the Kerbins invented the K2 rocket capable of landing a relatively unguided liquid fuel rocket on an island across the side of the ocean, terrorizing the local fauna. Robert Kerbin then invented the liquid fueled rocket. Help each group maintain their progress toward the goal of a liquid fueled two stage rocket capable of carrying a radio transmitter into space, and later, into orbit.

This campaign is designed to present you with a mission manifest that will allow you to accomplish the final goal of reliably launching an unmanned rocket on a controlled suborbital trajectory of your choosing.

Specifications

  • Length: 2 hours
  • Difficulty: As easy as hitting a spacebar, and then some.
  • Skills needed: Spectator sporting skills
  • For version: Every version (tested on 0.20.2)

Missions

Solid Fuel Rocketry

  1. Static Fire RT-10 Solid Fuel Booster Rocket
  2. Launch RT-10 Solid Fuel Booster Rocket
  3. Launch Two-Stage Solid Fuel Rocket

Liquid Fuel Rocketry

  1. Static Fire LVT-30 Liquid Fuel Rocket
  2. Launch LVT-30 Liquid Fuel Rocket Eastwards
  3. Launch Two-Stage LVT-30 Liquid Fuel Rocket and Maintain 45 degrees Eastwards after 10,000m
  • After your rocket goes above 70,000m you will reach space at this point and the music will play celebrating your accomplishment.

Finishing word

After you get your second stage liquid fuel rocket up past 70km, you're well on your way to becoming the next Gene Kerbin.
