In KSP, there are many acronyms and initialism that are used frequently to communicate more quickly, but can confuse new players or players who are not familiar with them.
This sheet is designed as a concise lookup table of acronyms and initialisms.

Common Terms
- Ap
- Apoapsis, Highest point in an orbit.
- CM
- Command Module. Transfer ship that delivers a lander to orbit around some body, then waits there and takes it/pilots home again
- dV
- Delta-V
- ISP
- Specific Impulse - A.K.A. Fuel Efficiency. Higher is better.
- LM
- Lander Module. Paired with CM
- Pe
- Periapsis. Lowest point in an orbit.
- SoI
- Sphere of Influence. The frame of reference. The body that your trajectory is plotted around in blue on the map.
- SRB
- Solid Rocket Booster
- SSTO
- Single Stage To Orbit
- TSTO
- Two Stage To Orbit
- VTOL
- Vertical Take Off and Landing
- RCS
- Reaction Control System
