Missions
Duna Outpost Establishment
Basic description of the Duna Outpost Establishment mission.
Design requirements or mission considerations (e.g., "Establish a sustainable outpost on Duna, capable of supporting 4 Kerbals for at least 100 days").
Rocket must contain: Medium-sized crew module (command pod), sufficient life support for 100 days.
Mission requirements: 1. Launch a spacecraft with sufficient delta-v for an interplanetary transfer to Duna. 2. Achieve orbit around Duna with a periapsis of at least 20 km. 3. Deploy a lander containing a rover capable of exploring the Duna surface. 4. Ensure the outpost includes adequate power generation and life support for 4 Kerbals. 5. Establish a communication relay to maintain contact with Kerbin.
Post-mission requirements: - Conduct regular supply missions to maintain the outpost's functionality. - Plan for future missions to expand the outpost's capabilities.
- (Tip: Utilize aerobraking around Duna to save fuel during descent.)
Next mission: Return from Duna.
