career importanc
figured that there is a possability of this and the island space plane hanger being of importance in career mode. Of course I WILL go full autism on this! Maybe they will try to prevent you from succesfully flying into orbit, or at least try to. and eventually you will be able to partake in a destruction mission where you must crash a rocket of great Destructive CAPability (D-CAP for short) into the SPH and the VAB. this is speculation, so its on the talk page. - Luckily this is on the talk page. D-CAP doesn't appear to be real (okay I did only a short Google and Wikipedia search) and there is no indication/evidence that they are enemies trying to sabotage you. The developers also said that KSP won't become a violent game: They won't add weapons or missiles (→ Planned features#Not happening), so it is unlikely that you have to target/destroy the secondary KSC. Of course mods may include such missions but this is unofficial. And by the way the secondary KSC doesn't have a SPH you can target/“destroy”. — xZise [talk] 05:01, 24 July 2013 (CDT)
- I agree, with the response to weapons, I suspect that won't be the case. This sounds like a great subject for speculation. However, I can imagine other uses for it in career mode. Either as allies, foes, or friendly rivals. These include spying on the location from space, or performing an emergency landing at the location.
- As a sidenote, it's clearly a K shaped valley, not an H-Shaped. Don't use see the angling on the side? --Ruedii (talk) 00:15, 31 July 2013 (CDT)
