An in-orbit fuel depot may change the way your kerbals live! Imagine going to Eeloo with only enough fuel to get into orbit!
Stabber
Stabber is a long narrow fuel depot best for beginners.
Ship Design
- 1x Clamp-O-Tron Docking Port
- 1x Kerbodyne S3-14400 Tank
- 1x TR-XL Stack Separator
- 1x Z-1k Rechargeable Battery Bank
- 1x RC-001S Remote Guidance Unit
- 1x TR-XL Stack Separator
- 1x Kerbodyne S3-14400 Tank
- 1x Kerbodyne KR-2L Advanced Engine
- 1x TR-XL Stack Separator
- 1x LFB KR-1x2
- 2x S1 SRB-KD25k (Radial mounted)
You will need to launch this ship up many times to get the desired amount of fuel into orbit.
Asteroid based
Asteroid based fuel depots have fuel tanks attached via you guessed it, an asteroid!
How to Construct
- 1x Advanced Grabbing Unit
- 1x Kerbodyne S3-14400 Tank
- 1x Clamp-O-Tron Docking Port
- 1x TR-XL Stack Separator
- 1x Z-1k Rechargeable Battery Bank
- 1x RC-001S Remote Guidance Unit
- 1x TR-XL Stack Separator
- 1x Kerbodyne S3-14400 Tank
- 1x Kerbodyne KR-2L Advanced Engine
- 1x TR-XL Stack Separator
- 1x LFB KR-1x2
- 2x S1 SRB-KD25k (Radial mounted)
You will need to launch this ship up many times to get the desired amount of fuel into orbit. You may also need to launch an asteroid redirect mission to get an asteroid in the desired orbit.
