Location Name
I find the title of this article (Insular Kerbal Space Center) rather misleading. With the present facilities it is definitely closer to an airport than a space center. I propose to rename the article to "Insular airport", unless there is some better or official title for it. --CookieCrunch (talk) 15:28, 16 August 2013 (CDT)
- That sounds logical. I extracted the content from Inland Kerbal Space Center. As the Inland KSC was named second KSC there, it was added as thrid KSC, so the KSC part stuck. If nobody has a better suggestion, or a reason why not to rename, I can do it. — xZise [talk] 16:47, 16 August 2013 (CDT)
- Totally, sounds like a great idea. — Chuzzard (talk) 22:53, 16 August 2013 (CDT)
- Good idea, but "airfield" would be more appropriate IMO. It just has a grass runway (!), a tower and three poorly made hangars - an actual airport has solid (concrete, asphalt) runways and more/bigger/better buildings. --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 11:49, 17 August 2013 (CDT)
- I'm pretty sure the F3 flight report shows its name as "Old Airfield". TW1 (talk) 07:35, 6 March 2014 (CST)
Old Airfield
I move that this page be renamed from “Insular Airfield” to “Old Airfield” for the following reasons:
- “Insular” is no better at describing the airfield than is “Old” as it is both on an island and clearly in disrepair.
- In-game, the name the developers gave this location is verified to be “Old Airfield” but nowhere do they use the word “insular”.
It seems that the current name is peculiar to this wiki and is the product of accident rather than research. Given that the names tie on descriptiveness but only one has claim to being the official name, “Old Airfield” is the better name. --Brendan (talk) 06:14, 9 July 2014 (CDT)
