How would you feel about having the See Also section removed from Kerbin, Kerbol, Mun, etc.? The celestials template, which is DIRECTLY beneath that, serves the exact same purpose without filling the wiki with redlinks. -- Trinexx ► 13:54, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- I'm up for it, at least with the current celestial bodies links. UmbralRaptor (talk) 02:45, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
You receive my (un)unofficial not lazy badge for being one of the 3-4 people to help update the wiki to 0.18 :D --n (talk) 12:21, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Sitenotice
As I understand it, the link in the Sitenotice has been broken for several months now, even before the move to the Squad servers. It links to this 404 page instead of the correct sign-up page. I gather that other editors have noticed this, but have been unable to do anything about it since MediaWiki pages are protected (sysop only). Bovell (talk) 18:22, 9 February 2013 (CST)
- I feel remarkably unobservant for missing that. UmbralRaptor (talk) 22:18, 9 February 2013 (CST)
Deleting redirects
Hello, I deleted your the redirects you created when you moved the Photovol(t)a(t)ic pages. I hope this is okay ;) (I'm just wondering why you didn't uncheck the box “create redirect”). — xZise [talk] 05:42, 4 May 2013 (CDT)
- It's fine. I failed to think through that places that needed to have updated links would be rare and obvious. UmbralRaptor (talk) 21:40, 9 May 2013 (CDT)
Fuel efficiency of the PB-ION Electric Propulsion System
Hello, you changed the values for the ion engine. Now I'm wondering why I can verify the power consumption in the infobox?
This gives me a mass flow rate of 0.0121353332 kg/s or (as 10 x/kg) 0.121353332 x/s. Now the engine uses 120 E for 1 x and with a usage of 0.121353332 x/s · 120 E/x = 14.5623999 E/s. — xZise [talk] 03:30, 18 June 2013 (CDT)
- It appears that g0 became 9.82 at some point (even though the surface gravity is still 9.81) Verification via 10 ion engines: File:10X_Xenon.png UmbralRaptor (talk) 22:09, 18 June 2013 (CDT)
- Strange. But now I remember that I read in some discussion that the g0 for Isp wasn't 9.81 ms⁻². Hmpf another inconsistency. Maybe they should show the value in ms⁻¹ to avoid confusion. — xZise [talk] 03:49, 19 June 2013 (CDT)
- Okay I updated Terminology#Isp and the ion engine's page with your information and filed a bug report. — xZise [talk] 04:11, 19 June 2013 (CDT)
- So, after further checking, I can reproduce g0 == 9.82 as far back as 0.18, but It seems to be 9.81 in 0.17. UmbralRaptor (talk) 00:56, 23 June 2013 (CDT)
- I was playing with science instruments in the game yesterday and both the gravioli meter and the accelerometer would flicker back and forth between 9.81 and 9.82 while sitting on the launch pad (my lander stage I was playing around with to practice not-crashing since I'm new). -- Krenshala (talk) 14:54, 26 July 2013 (CDT)
