This page (when going to life) should (afaik) be named Project:Wiki Improvement Roadmap (including spacings then). — xZise [talk] 05:07, 30 July 2013 (CDT)

A few weeks ago I created Project:Discussions which may be involved into this. — xZise [talk] 05:07, 30 July 2013 (CDT)
Foreign language page articles
I don't know if this here is the correct place, but it should be discussed if we want “English” pages which redirect to non-English pages like Glossar (redirecting to Terminology/de) or all those Russian/Korean pages (e.g. Спутник). — xZise [talk] 05:07, 30 July 2013 (CDT)
- First, thanks to let me know about this 'issue' which is I haven't thought about it at all. We used to redirect like 커빈 since we started to make our wiki page, and I didn't knew that can be a problem. I think both ways to redirect have different perspective. Redirecting with non-English(whne they using their own unique character) is a lot convenient when they redirect to other page or type a page's address even they are not good at using or editing wiki. Problem is, if this is allowed to Russian and Korean pages, it's not fair to other language users and it doesn't have consistency like Ruedii said. As a Korean translator, I'm agree with redirect like 커빈 and considering this game is still on earlier stage, I think there will be more languages on this wiki so this should be on "Translation Rule" or something like that to prevent this issue happen on other wikis. But there is other foreign language wikis, so we should listen their opinion if they are still working on translating wiki. — Sunbase [talk] 20:52, 31 July 2013 (CDT)
- I personally have nothing against redirects from foreign language names, as long as it is consistent. The problem is, that this wiki that English and non-English pages use the same namespace. For example the Korean Wikipedia doesn't contain English articles and when it links to it, they are listed on the left sidebar and redirecting to another Wikipedia. Similar is it with some other wikis like Memory Alpha or Minecraft Wiki. There can two articles exist with the same name but in different translations. Now I don't know why this isn't the case here (I guess it's harder to manage as you need to set up multiple wikis), but the multiple language support is not really the official way. — xZise [talk] 04:21, 1 August 2013 (CDT)
- Hmm.... I guess that's because every page on KSP wiki is under a wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com. Other wiki like Minecraft Wiki or wikipedia has subsite(I don't know if this is correct word) like ko.wikipedia.org or en.wikipedia.org. In this case, even though some page has same name with different translations, they are in different site so it doesn't collide. And if we use this way, use of Mainpage will be more convenient. This inconvenient doesn't related to this articles but inn present Mainpage, if I want to se pages on left sidebar in Korean(like Tutorial or Controls) first enter english page and select korean on left side and I think this isn't efficient way. So I think if we use this way(Adding en. or ko.), it will solve redirecting issue on this articles and it will additionally solve inconvenient issue too. But I guess that will be HARD work because it will change this wiki's structure X(. — Sunbase [talk] 22:26, 31 July 2013 (CDT)
