What's it For?

So far as I can tell, KerbNet is for setting waypoints. But I have to say, when I have a lander parked on Mun and I pull up KerbNet, the screen doesn't show me anything interesting. It's just gray. Is there a way to zoom it out? To pan left or right? Anyone who knows how to use KerbNet effectively, if you'd please add at least an outline here that would be great. The map is always centred on your craft and always shows the area directly under your craft (the FOV is the 'cone of view'), which means its designed to be used from orbit and almost totally useless on the surface. If you want to use it on the ground, use the RoveMate as it has a massive FOV on the surface, which is its intended use. Bvoice360 (talk) 17:01, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
