I've noticed a few edits about the "Moholes" on Moho and whether they are actually easter eggs or just a terrain glitch. I think that they are simply a mishap in the terrain (because of the very "pixely" edges) and the "forces" are a bug in the physics engine. Also it isn't quite clear what an "easter egg" is in terms of KSP. I think that the term should be defined a bit clearer somewhere in the article. --Dgelessus (talk) 10:25, 10 May 2013 (CDT)

:The "Forces" are probably a bug in the way gravity is handled by the terrain engine.  However, I suspect they were intentionally placed there.  The square edges are due to the way terrain height is handled in KSP.  It has nothing to do with them being accidental.  You will notice several ridges on Minmus also have jagged edges.--Ruedii (talk) 05:32, 5 July 2013 (CDT)

How were these found?

How were these easter-eggs found? Where they found by chance, or were their locations extracted from the game files? I am asking because when it's the latter, it would be pointless to keep looking for more. --Crush (talk) 08:19, 20 February 2013 (CST)

Most of them were found by chance, by viewing the planet at a particularly low orbit, or through the use of a community-developed plugin that detects objects and terrain surface features as you pass over, such as some of the mapping kit expansion plugins, and I'm sure one or two people have found them in the game files. On the subject, I think it might be a good idea for someone to post maps of the locations for these Easter eggs. However it should be on a different page, as some people might not want that big a spoiler. --Ruedii (talk) 12:09, 10 May 2013 (CDT)

What do they mean?

Can these easter eggs get either a reference location, or a description of what/where they are? Like what do the craters mean on Moho? What is the 'magic boulder' on Ike? Where can I find Carl Sagan's face? --Relick (talk) 03:41, 16 March 2013 (CDT)

Easter egg = terrain glitch?

I've noticed a few edits about the "Moholes" on Moho and whether they are actually easter eggs or just a terrain glitch. I think that they are simply a mishap in the terrain (because of the very "pixely" edges) and the "forces" are a bug in the physics engine. Also it isn't quite clear what an "easter egg" is in terms of KSP. I think that the term should be defined a bit clearer somewhere in the article. --Dgelessus (talk) 10:25, 10 May 2013 (CDT)

The "Forces" are probably a bug in the way gravity is handled by the terrain engine.

Spirit's or Curiosity's camera?

Okay this was changed multiple times between Spirit and Curiosity. Now is there any proof of which rover it is actually (and if I'm not mistaken it could be even Opportunity because it is build like Spirit), like a developers comment or because of the physical properties. I haven't been there but Scott Manley and I can't see any sign why it is Spirit or Curiosity. — xZise [talk] 15:34, 4 July 2013 (CDT)

It's clearly meant to be Curiosity. --Crush (talk) 03:23, 5 July 2013 (CDT)
