The Yaw axis is one of the three principal axes in which an aircraft or spacecraft can change orientation. A motion in the yaw axis will move the crafts nose to either side while moving the tail in the opposite direction.

Longer aircraft/spacecraft, especially very tall launch vehicles, will have very little Yaw control without the addition of control parts.

Placing RCS thruster blocks or movable control surfaces at the nose and tail will increase a crafts Yaw ability. Engines with thrust vectoring will also help give more control authority in the yaw axis.
