Attitude control is the concept of pointing a craft in a desired direction. This can be accomplished with a variety of methods. Attitude control is required for any flight. All command modules allow the player to, at the very least, control the craft with keyboard commands.
To control your attitude, you first need to know your current attitude. Your current attitude is shown on the navball, in relation to either the surface, your current orbit, or your target.
Means of control
These are the ways in which the attitude of a craft can be changed:
- Reaction wheels
- Reaction Control System
- Gimbals (Only works while engine is running)
- Control surfaces (Only works while in a atmosphere)
