Does the visual appearance of the attachment node make a difference in the behavior of a part? This part is a large diameter but only a medium attachment node in the Vehicle Assembly view.
- It's purely a visual effect, IIRC. Nothing about compatibility or strength. UmbralRaptor (talk) 12:35, 16 November 2013 (CST)

ASAS vs reaction wheel
With 0.21 the idea behind ASAS, SAS and reaction wheel didn't changed. They were just renamed (and the PID values hidden): ASAS becomes SAS and SAS becomes a reaction wheel. I haven't tested it yet specifically but I don't think this doesn't work as a reaction wheel, especially as it has the torque values defined in the part configuration, so I see no reason why there should be no torque introduced by this part.
I'm also not sure how this part might confuse older players. It still has SAS functionality which is (for old players) the ASAS (like in the name) so for those nothing changes except that this part could produce torque.
I'll test if this has any torque and update the changes made recently accordingly. — xZise [talk] 07:29, 10 November 2014 (CST)
