Introduction:
With a manned landing having been done on Duna, the Kerbols now aim with a hefty goal, to create rovers for each moon in the Joolian system.
Specs:
- Length: 10-20 Hours
- Difficulty: 8/10 (Expert)
- Skills Needed:
- Advanced Rocket Design
- Advanced Landing
- Advanced Orbital Maneuvering
- Intermediate Mission Planning
- Advanced understanding of Launch Windows
- Intermediate Rendezvousing
- Advanced Rover Design
- Basic Docking (optional)
- Completed (Minimal)
- For Version: Every Version
Missions
Joolino III
- Launch a Satalite to Orbit around Jool
- Satalite must have at least 2 solar panels
- Satalite must have a dish antennea
- Satalite must have at least 4 scientific instruments
- Satalite must have a 100,000 meter orbit around the body
Joolino IV
- Launch a Satalite to Orbit around Laythe
- Same Requirements as Joolino III and must contain a drop of scientific instruments
- Drop must make it to Laythes surface unharmed
- Drop must contain a control unit
- Drop must contain at least 3 scientific instruments
Joolino V, VII, IX and XI
- Launch Satalites around the remaining moons of Jool
- Same requirements as Joolino III EXCEPT
- Drops must be sent to the surface of Vall, and Tylo which contain at least 4 scientific instruments
Joolinia X
- Launch a Rover for landing on Laythe
- Must have enough electric storage to run overnight
- Must have lights
- Must contain at least 4 Scientific Instruments
- Must have a dish antennea
- Must land on Crescent Bay
Joolinia XI, XVI, XX, XXI
- Launch Rovers for the rest of Jools moons
- Same requirements as Joolinia X EXCEPT
- Vall lander must land on one of the poles
- Tylo lander must land in one of the major craters
- Try not to get mad at me for these repetitive challenges
Conclusion
What KerbX found in the Joolian system was so intriguing to them, they decided to enhance their efforts to explore the area, which led to many more rovers, probes, and satalites. Eventually, the Astronomers decided that it wasn’t worth the effort anymore to keep transporting fuel and other necessities to the area. They decided to reach out to closer planets instead...
