An craft re-entering the atmosphere, it is at a safe altitude to not be affected.

The Eve Effect is a phenomenon that affects craft entering the atmosphere of Eve at a near vertical angle. Drag will not be high enough to slow down the craft but will generate enough heat to damage your landing vehicle over the course of the fall, causing it breaking up catastrophically. This is most common on Eve since it has a small atmosphere height but big atmosphere pressure (i.e. an abrupt transition to thick atmosphere), but this does happen on Jool also. In fact it can happen on every celestial body at high enough speeds and steep enough angles.

Avoid the Eve Effect

You can avoid the Eve Effect by aerobraking at about 50km, Repeat this gradually to enter the atmosphere at a safe speed.
