Just looking through the articles on the Lightyear wheels and it seems they have some problems regarding the manufacturer name and the info boxes. Just a heads up this needs looking into, but I am in the process of fixing this. (ftlparachute. i do not know how to put user credits)

Gear Legs?

While the current Small Gear Bay may be a bit lonesome on its own, the differences in operation of it and the landing legs makes me think they ought to be collected on separate pages. Their only commonality is cushioning landings; they otherwise are deployed in entirely different landing profiles. The list of tweakables has little to no overlap either. --Brendan (talk) 00:59, 10 March 2015 (CDT)

While the landing gear is alone, there is no reason for a "collection" page or section. There is no independent Lab page, and the ion engine links to a part. Just wait for what the future and the SUQAD brings for us...NWM (talk) 13:59, 10 March 2015 (CDT)
Agreed we should (at least here) remove the landing gear and in the future we might be able to have sensible articles dedicated to them. Everything special about the Small Gear Bay can be described in it's article. — xZise [talk] 05:54, 11 March 2015 (CDT)
“Landing gear” bringings to mind "airplane wheels" — we keep saying it with that meaning, as does the current article. Readers will get confused if we include legs and wheels together as “gear for landing”. I suggest having [[landing gear]] for now redirect to [[Small Gear Bay]] (until Squad adds a Medium, Large, and Super-size), and move the current content to either [[Landing strut]] or [[Landing leg]]. That needs discussion.
“Landing strut” is the term in the official part name. But “landing leg” might have less collisions given how confusingly inconsistent Squad's use of “strut” is in EAS-4 Strut Connector, LT-2 Landing Strut, and Cubic Octagonal Strut). I'm not decided which is the best name, but I do believe horizontal-landing wheels and vertical-landing ...things should be separated for clarity and ease of use. --Brendan (talk) 13:23, 11 March 2015 (CDT)

Gear boxes are broken

Just looking through the articles on the Lightyear wheels and it seems they have some problems regarding the manufacturer name and the info boxes. Just a heads up this needs looking into, but I am in the process of fixing this. (ftlparachute. i do not know how to put user credits)
