Extension for formatting numbers
Could you install the FormatNum extension? (And can you remind me where wiki-related requests are supposed to go? I couldn't find the page I was thinking of.) — Elembis (talk) 16:28, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
New bot functionality
I was wondering if you could look at adding some sort of talk page archiving bot. I know that wikipedia has something like this, it will monitor sections of talk pages, and if they get no replies for while, moves it to a archive page. The helps keep the main talk page focused, whilst saves the discussions. I think it would be really nice if it could manage a table of archived sections so that it is easier to see what previous talks their have been. Maybe if people could then go to the archived talk, add a new topic, and the bot will move it back to the main talk page, or they can just start a new section if it works better for them. I know that at the moment it's only really main page's talk page where this is starting to get an issue, but it can't hurt to start to get such a feature in the works. - I actually have the exact same bot the MediaWiki foundation uses. I'd need to get some time to set it up. -- N3X15 (C · T · E) 18:21, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Translation
If it's OK I would like to start translating wiki to my language. Just did a test run and translated this into this. I'm gonna get karolus10 (he's a mod on forums) to check it later for bugs, but just wanted to know what should I do to get Polish/Polski language versions to show up in "languages" in the left side menu?
Also - how do I edit the language in the right-side object specification grey-box? You know, the mass, radious, etc?
- Well, first, we need a Main Page/pl so there's a starting point for translators. Once that's done, I'll add it to the sidebar.
- As for the templates, add

to the parts needing translation. If it's becoming a nightmare, you may want to make a
with thelang
template as content. -- N3X15 (C · T · E) 02:33, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Translate pages to Swedish
I would like to translate the pages to Swedish to help the younger/older players from Sweden to get more help and information in their own language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Qluxzz (talk • contribs)
Dwarf Planets
For the purpose of organization, I've been thinking about breaking off some of the smaller planets into a separate category because I imagine that as more bodies are added it's going to be harder to organize them and keep them all in one place. What are your thoughts on this, and what do you think the cutoff for dwarf planets should be? --Craigmt1 (talk) 00:40, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
PNG thumbnail generation fails for SVG
Simple: The ImageMagick fails to generate PNG thumbs for svg files. Example:
That SVG was created with Adobe Illustrator and saved as a regular SVG 1.1, fonts converted to outline. You'll see in the file history that I tried various other formats (SVG 1.0, different subsets etc.), but every one of them causes the same error. Opening the .svg directly via the image link on the description page will work without issues. I sincerely hope you can fix this. --Senshi (talk) 06:19, 8 February 2013 (CST)
- Well, since CentOS has a completely broken SVG converter for ImageMagick, I moved us over to using rsvg for that purpose. Seems to be fixed. -- N3X15 (C · T · E) 05:36, 10 February 2013 (CST)
- The direct generation seems to be fixed, thanks for that. However, a "direct" implement (large thumb) with still seems to fail. Look here. I assume it's because the nominal pixel size of the svg is too big and the wiki does not use a maxwidth for those? I tried setting various fixed widths, e.g. , which work just fine. The limit width value to work apparently is . Go for 2786 and it immediately reports failure. You can test this by using the preview function on any page, no need to test-submit anything. --Senshi (talk) 16:37, 12 February 2013 (CST)
Missing planets on the front page
Can you add Dres and Eeloo to Template:Main Page Layout? — Elembis (talk) 12:24, 13 February 2013 (CST)
