The Inland Kerbal Space Center (sometimes called KSC 2[1]) is a second spaceport on Kerbin, located north-west of the main space center (approx bearing 300°, distance 760 km). It is generally considered an easter egg. It is not possible to build and launch rockets from this space center. As it doesn't have a runway it isn't possible to launch space planes there either, although the land is flat enough to land on.
It is located in a flat valley at the south-east end of a large mountain range, within a depression shaped like "H" or "K". The best way to reach the Inland Space Center is to fly there by plane.
Kerbal Space Program seems to treat the Inland Kerbal Space Center like the main space center. There is currently[outdated] a bug in the game, as it treats craft on the launch pad as they are on the launch pad at the main space center. So when trying to launch a craft it will request to recover the craft on the launch pad at this space port. The surface probe types are shared. The position of landed craft is also described with Landed at KSC. Because of this, the official name is not known.
As of 0.21.1[outdated], the Inland Kerbal Space Center uses the old VAB, Launchpad and Tracking Station models/textures previously used for the main KSC in versions 0.20 and earlier. So it is still possible to visit the old buildings in the new version. Also there is a monolith near the tracking station.
