The Breaking Ground expansion was announced on May 6, 2019[1] and will be released on May 30, 2019 together with version 1.7.1. The expansion focuses on the Kerbal scientific endeavors with new parts, and surface features.

NOTE: Everyone who bought Kerbal Space Program before May 1st, 2013 will get the expansion for free.

Expansion features

  • New Parts: This expansion will include dozens of new parts such as servos, deployable research stations, and many more, along with a new astronaut suit, all inspired by the historic scientific endeavors. Players can use these parts and suit throughout Kerbal Space Program.
  • Surface features: Like mineral formations, meteors, craters, and some even more curious planetary features. Study them using the new part - rover arm - and collect valuable scientific data.
