Extension for formatting numbers

Could you install the FormatNum extension? (And can you remind me where wiki-related requests are supposed to go? I couldn't find the page I was thinking of.) — Elembis (talk) 16:28, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

Actually this would be nice, especially for the translations. For example 1,234 m could either mean 1 km and 234 m or 1 m and 234 mm depending where you are. With this extension it is possible to make the separators language specific (e.g. English use period as decimal separator and in German or French they use a comma instead). — xZise [talk] 10:02, 28 March 2013 (CDT)

Translating

I would like to translate articles for Portuguese. I've seen that i need you to add the language. Best Regards. Gusta (talk) 12:37, 4 March 2013 (CST)

Broken <math>-Tag

Hi, it looks like the <math>-Tag is broken? At least the basic calculations (division/multiplication/addition) won't work. — XZise (talk) 04:36, 5 March 2013 (CST)

Yes, the new CentOS server doesn't like TeX much. When I have time, I'll give it another whack. -- N3X15 (C · T · E) 19:05, 21 March 2013 (CDT)
Ah nice! Luckily there isn't much need for TeX. — xZise [talk] 06:46, 27 March 2013 (CDT)

German Translation

Hey N3X15,

can you add German Translation as an Option ? ;) -- Maggus (talk) 15:54, 5 March 2013 (CST)

I'm interest in translating as well. Would it be possible to add a German option? --ChrisK91 (talk) 11:40, 22 March 2013 (CDT)

Done, language code is de. -- N3X15 (C · T · E) 00:23, 3 April 2013 (CDT)
Vielen Dank =)

add language spanish

please add the language es to list of languages, thanks

I would actually be interested in translating some pages into Spanish, but I don't know how to make an alternate-language page. Ninenineninefour (talk) 14:59, 23 March 2013 (CDT)
Although it won't appear on the left sidebar (as long as it isn't added officially) you can simply add a page adding the language code. So if I'm not mistaken, for spanish it is es? So the spanish article for Kerbin would be named Kerbin/es. —XZise (talk) 16:02, 23 March 2013 (CDT)
Well, I think I'll give it a stab and hope for the best; the worst thing that can happen is that it gets deleted. Ninenineninefour (talk) 12:13, 24 March 2013 (CDT)
Sorry for the wait, it's done. Language code is es. -- N3X15 (C · T · E) 00:24, 3 April 2013 (CDT)

Interactions are broken?

Hello. Thanks for your efforts on adding new features. But I'm not sure, if it is on my side. But since some time (within the last 24 hrs I would guess) most interactions aren't working anymore:

  • No suggestion when searching an article
  • The elements on the left bar aren't collapsible anymore
  • They don't autofill the new filename on uploading a file (I'm not sure if this was so before)
  • The edit window is simply a textfield (btw: This is a good one ;) like in the Wikipedia (at least the german). No strange "paste results", "undo"/"redo")

Yeah, the caching table was acting funny, and I'm still updating our extensions for the latest REL branch of Mediawiki. We're on memcache now, at least.
