Starshot-32 is a firework launcher that was added in the 1.12 update on June 24th, 2021. The firework launcher can launch up to 32 customizable fireworks. They can be launched anywhere but the firework wont majestically explode unless you are on a planet/moon with an atmosphere.

Product Description

Jebidiah Kerman eats danger for breakfast, launch, and dinner at his day job as the KSC resident daredevil pilot. But what does he do when he wants to relax on the weekends? He fills firework canisters at his state of the art junkyard facility.

The Starshot-32 is a large firework launcher, if one goes off at the wrong time you may be looking for more than just a refund.

Uses

The Starshot-32 was meant to be used for entertainment purpose in the game. They were no to have any game changing function in the game. However right after the update player figured out how to use the fire work launcher in many other ways such as for propulsion and a subsitute for weapons.

Entertainment

The Starshot-32 was made for the use of seeing and being entertainment by in-game fireworks to celebrate KSP's 10th anniversary on June 24th, 2021.

Propulsion

The fireworks that the Starshot-32 ejects have a collision box are around them they can affect other objects. Soon player started to realize that you could use the burst of collidable particles to move a ship or craft. The fireworks do not give very much delta-v. But using them together, it is theoretically possible to make it into orbit or beyond just using the Starshot-32.

Weapons

Because the fireworks dispended by Starshot-32 can be interacted with, it has been figured out that you could use it as a substitute for missiles. Tweaking the explosion delay and velocity just right might enable you to destroy something. A famous KSP YouTuber known as Danny2462 has demonstrated this.
