Minmus is a small moon of Kerbin, and only available in version 0.15 and higher. From the surface of Kerbin, it is a purple speck. Up close, it is gray-green in appearance with what seem to be icy buttes, large hills, and frozen lakes. It is possible to land on Minmus. The tallest mountains are likely 3000+ km high.
Characteristics
- Equatorial Radius: 60 km
- Mass: ~4e19 kg?
- Surface Gravity: ? m/s^2 or ?G
- Gravitational parameter: ? km^3/s^2
- Escape velocity from surface: ? m/s
- Rotation Period: ? hours; Rotation: ? degrees per hour, or ~0.35 m/s (believed to be tidally locked to Kerbin)
- Theoretical(?) Synchronous Orbit altitude: ? m; Stationary Orbit velocity: ? m/s
Note, this Stationary orbit cannot actually be achieved, as any satellite or vessel attempting to achieve this orbit will be re-captured by Kerbin.
Orbital Characteristics
- Semi-Major Axis: 47000 km
- Velocity: 274.1 m/s
- Inclination: 6°?
- Orbital Period: 12 days, 11 hours, 16 minutes, 19 seconds
- Sphere of influence: ~ ? km or ? body radii
