both the massive parts and the astaroids are confermed by harvisteR in that streem, he says that astaroids will be in the main game, but other things that include the nasa pack will be separate, i will post a better link to the stream in a second. i actually took the geysers from a post on gas planet 2. also look at today's dev note it confirms everything — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krona (talk • contribs) 03:15, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
Sorry again
I've uploaded 3 more misspelled pictures, please rename them! - Rovermax Model 1.png -> RoveMax Model 1.png, ... And a question - what is the optimal size oft these pictures of parts? Thanks! NWM 14:41, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, not a problem. But could you update File:Ruggedized rover wheel.PNG? I guess it was your intention but it's case sensitive (and I want to preserve the version history). The other three are jpegs and you can't change the file format so it's not possible with them. I'll move them shortly. — xZise [talk] 12:30, 27 June 2014 (CDT)
- And about size, I'm not sure. Currently the part infoboxes scale the images to 190x190 pixels. — xZise [talk] 12:39, 27 June 2014 (CDT)
- there is Ruggedized rover wheel.png - I've updated the tables and the part infobox. Is there anything else for image manipulation? (apart from part-pictures - I on them)— Preceding unsigned comment added by NWM (talk • contribs) 20:34, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- You misunderstood ;) I wanted that you re-upload your image in the file with uppercase PNG so I could move it to the name with lowercase png. This way the old image is still there and nothing is lost. But I was able to delete the .PNG version first then move the .png to .PNG, restore the .PNG changes and move it back again. — xZise [talk] 16:16, 27 June 2014 (CDT)
- You see also in the file usage which pages use it as an image. If it's empty you caught them all. And what links here does list all usages (also when you only link to it). — xZise [talk] 16:19, 27 June 2014 (CDT)
- I'up-loaded/dated File:Clamp o tron Sr.PNG, but it looks like the reduced old one, instead of the new... — Preceding unsigned comment added by NWM (talk • contribs) 23:24, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- You need to reload without the cache. On Firefox it's ^ Ctrl+F5. — xZise [talk] 18:30, 27 June 2014 (CDT)

- the clamp o tron sr.PNG is uploaded twice - you can delete the newer one. I`ll upload more hi-res images as arrived at home (Monday?). I hope, I`ll do it with their proper naming. NWM 20:17, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- Do you mean the two latest file revisions? That is fine. Or is there another file anywhere? But you didn't upload a second file of that docking port. — xZise [talk] 06:38, 29 June 2014 (CDT)
- The first has note ~ "hi res +trans.", the second ha no note. They are same file, uploaded twice.

"Product description" with Template:description
We'd mulled earlier on my talk page about how to consistently format the in-game textual descriptions that accompany each part. To recap, yes just “Description” is too ambiguous for a section title. The problem with “Manufacturer's description” is that many of these are clearly not what the manufacturer themselves would say about their product; the voice is much closer to being a narrator. Though sometimes, it is what they'd say.
I think I've hit on a great solution to cover both voices − it's basically this topic title. Title the section “Product description” − it is the description accompanying the part, but “Part description” sounds awkward. Also, the description template I created a while back deliberately doesn't include a "who said it" field. Saves complication, especially if they change Rokea's name again. --Brendan (talk) 02:05, 31 July 2014 (CDT)
- About the section title: Great idea, I love it! And I can see two options about {{Description}}:
- Make the author parameter optional (so both are then basically the same)
- Add a manufacturer parameter which does then (more or less) the same as {{Infobox/Part}}
- — xZise [talk] 06:41, 31 July 2014 (CDT)
- Of course adding the agency to the agency descriptions is superfluous, so making the author always optional should be available at least. — xZise [talk] 06:58, 31 July 2014 (CDT)
- Haha, the author is already optional. And now also manufacturers work. — xZise [talk] 09:49, 31 July 2014 (CDT)
- I never noticed that author was optional in {{Quote}}. I'll pretend it wasn't at the time I made {{Description}}... But it's easier to teach people they can leave author off than learn a new template name. And you've patched in Manufacturer to it. So all that's left is automating revisions to all those agencies/manufacturers' pages I churned through! ...You can automate that, right?? --Brendan (talk) 11:17, 31 July 2014 (CDT)
- About automatation: What is the result you are hoping for? Remove the author for all parts and agencies (including manufacturers) and change the template name to Quote (if not done already)? This is pretty much doable but it will take some time for the script (so don't expect that it'll fixes everything today; I mean apart from the confirmation from you).
- And I guess I backported your “no author” option, as I added that feature a few hours after you created description, so your original intentions were justified. (Hmmm this might sound awkward…) Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that you are actively improving this wiki. — xZise [talk] 15:11, 31 July 2014 (CDT)

About new templates "Min/?body?"
Hi XZise, I've recently created 17 new templates named Min/**body**looking like that:
Kerbin |
I've made it for every celestials bodies.
These templates are used in:
I've also created a new line in the Infobox/Location looking like this:
Reference Planet |
|
Regards,
Mowaw
- Yeah I got it, but there are a few things: First those Min/... templates aren't necessary (see my User:XZise/Min, which works for all bodies) except for Min/KSC. And even for KSC, that template name doesn't tell you what it does. It's also adding a table in a table. I've updated {{Infobox/Location}} which now uses the technique from my User:XZise/Min mockup. It's also allowing you to set the area to KSC, like your {{LocalisationOn}}.
- Additionally placing it directly into the text does distract from the reading flow. That's why the infobox is on the right. Now there are some places which don't have that infobox, so there your template(s) should be converted to infoboxes.
- And lastly I was confused because “Localisation” does usually mean for me the process of translating something into another language. — xZise [talk] 07:34, 1 August 2014 (CDT)
- Thank you for your modifications, but can you add these templates to the Infobox/Location code:
- Min/Biome/*** because I've seen your modifications and it doesn't use the templates "Min/***"
- And there's an other possibility for your User:XZise/Min:
- [[File:Tiny{{{body}}}.png|20px|none]] || [[{{{body}}}]] </nowiki>
- Regards,
- Mowaw
- About User:XZise/Min: This is not required, because it fetches automatically the image used in the infobox of a celestial body. Also {{Body data/full name}} is more advanced than only adding the language code to the body name. For example in Runway/ru the name Kerbin is in Cyrillic and English given.
- And I've got a question: What is the purpose of the biome … things? … templates? — xZise [talk] 11:05, 1 August 2014 (CDT)
- That's for the "KSC 2 for example: the location will be "Highlands"
- Mowaw
- How about that? I've updated {{Infobox/Location}} to support the new syntax from {{Place data}}. And {{Place data}} also supports the biomes from Kerbin (B/<Biome>). KSC 2 also uses that. Also {{Infobox/Location}} now can replace {{LocalisationOn}} mostly. The version number and altitude are not optional currently (they display Unknown) but this saves us to maintain two more or less identical templates. — xZise [talk] 09:01, 2 August 2014 (CDT)
addons
Can you add a few like ORS (bundled with KSPI) And raster prop manager (bundled with a couple of mods) ( This is my first time asking you in person please correct me if I am wrong) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshwoo69 (talk • contribs) 07:26, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ehr sorry, but if you want to add something you can do it yourself (if the syntax is not correct or so, it's fine somebody more experienced will fix it, also use the preview to verify that it looks good) or ask on the talk page.
- If it's about dependencies in Addons (like ModuleManager and toolbar): We don't have to list every example where this happen. It's intended to inform readers that there are plugins which come with others and that you have to be aware of that. — xZise [talk] 15:21, 24 August 2014 (CDT)
