Kerbol (även känd som Kerbin Prime, Solen, och Stjärnan) är stjärnan i centrum av Kerbol Systemet. Det är fem planeter som är i omloppsbana: Moho, Eve, Kerbin, Duna och Jool och de två dvärgplaneterna Eeloo samt Dres.
I jämförelse med vår egen sol så är Kerbol 113 gånger mindre och den har en omkrets som är 3 gånger mindre. Kerbol är troligtvis en K Class main sequence star baserat på dess temperatur, men den skulle också kunna vara en M klass stjärna baserat på dess omkrets, eller en G klass baserat på dess ljusstyrka. Den skulle också kunna vara en Vit dvärg.
Om man flyger i omloppsbana precis över ytan så tar det 409.214 minuter att slutföra ett varv med hastigheten 66.945 km/s.
