A celestial body is any natural body in space like stars, planets, dwarf planets and moons. These are not to be confused with artificial bodies like satellites. The orbital maneuvers can be performed for any celestial body, as the only difference is the size and gravity of the body.

In Kerbal Space Program, the Kerbol System is the only star system in the vanilla game. Kerbal Space Program 2 is, as of February 2024, projected to implement other star systems and interstellar travel.
