Ike
Ike is a moon and the only natural satellite of Duna.
Stationary orbit around Ike is not possible — it would require an altitude of 0.00 m, outside of Ike's sphere of influence. However, since Ike and Duna are tidally locked to each other, a spacecraft in stationary orbit around Duna will see Ike in a stable, non-rotating position, as it would appear in a stationary Ike orbit. This moon is extremely rocky and has extremely large craters that span for many kilometers. For an inexperienced lander this moon would not be a good choice as the rocky and steep slopes make landing extremly difficult. A landing in the bottom of a crater may be a good landing spot however. The texture of Duna is somwhat simillar to the mun around Kerbin at the tops of the craters but a darker shade is at lower altitudes in the bottom of the craters.
