The TD-50 Decoupler is a decoupler that allows for staging rockets vertically and in sequence.

Usage

The TD-50 adds a stage to the rocket and when activated will release the decoupler as well as anything attached to it, much like the TD-37 Decoupler. It remains attached to one side of the rocket - the side facing away from the arrow on the decoupler. It is used mainly for jettisoning spent stages or drop tanks with a 5m node.

Node Size

  • 5m - decouple side (releases from upper attached part)
  • 5m - non-decouple side (remains with lower attached part)
