The Mk2-R Radial-Mount Parachute is a parachute which is placed on the side of a rocket instead of the tip like most other parachutes.
Usage
This parachute behaves exactly like the Mk16 Parachute, but masses 50% more. Because KSP gives high drag to objects with higher mass, this parachute is more efficient. On the other hand the Mk16-XL Parachute masses twice as much as the Mk2-R generating even higher drag.
Don't forget that parachute's efficiency depends of atmospheric density, so it won't work or even deploy in vacuum, such as a Munar landing.
Description
“ | A parachute comparable to the Mk16-XL chute, but which is placed radially instead of attached on top of something. — ?? |
