The Octagonal Strut is the mainstay of "final stage" structural elements. It is strong, and very light. It has the same mass as the Cubic Octagonal Strut, but is significantly larger. The disadvantage is that it can only mount on stack nodes, where the cubic strut can mount to any surface.
Currently[outdated], the Octagonal Strut has "PhysicsSignificance = 1", making it a massless part and dragless.
