The TR-2C Stack Separator is a Decoupler that allows for staging rockets vertically and in sequence. It is also the only decoupler in the demo.

Use

The TR-2C adds a stage to the rocket that when activated will separate the bonds between it and anything else, much like the TR-18D. It is useful when you have, for example, a stack of probes. Unlike normal decouplers, this will not stay attached to either side, which would allow all of the probes to fly off without a decoupler attached.

Product description

Similarly to the TR-18D, the TR-2C is a utility for slicing a rocket into two halves, but now in a more compact size. The manual says the explosive content is just enough to eject anything attached to the unit in a safe, controlled manner. The delivery guy did have a full bomb suit on though, so try not to drop it.
